Hello, we are a family of 4 (mom, dad, sister and brother) who are looking for some child care help early in the mornings from 7:00 am to at least 9:00 am Monday through Friday. We need someone cheerful in the mornings who can help us all get out the door and off to bus stops or even drive us to camp! Oh and “don’t forget the note for school” or “brush your teeth” or “put suntan lotion on!” All those kind of reminders to keep us all on track for our busy days.

Graduating high schoolers, College students and any other Morning early birds please feel free to respond via Elisha’s list or call 203-218-0137 and ask for Laurie (that’s Mom) and I can answer any more questions you might have to see if this would be a good match! Thanks, talk to you soon . . .

My father used these chairs  upstairs and downstairs at his home.  360 degree turning radius, silent running, very comfortable.   We’re asking $500 for the pair, and they can be picked up about 8 minutes from church.  I’ve included pictures below.  The battery will need to be replaced, hence the deep discount.  Please contact John at 203-426-0792, or e-mail john@johntusch.com.

“I am about to do a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?”  Isaiah 43:19

When it comes to employment, starting over from scratch can be one of the most difficult things we will ever do. Our job is closely tied to our identity. For many of us, our work is more than how we provide for our family, it’s who we are.  Or is it? Maybe, just maybe, God is calling you towards something new.

I’m going to speak from personal experience because that’s what I know.  A year ago my husband Clark was a car salesman. He sold cars because he could make money at it, not because it was something he loved. Regrettably, he spent too many years hating what he was doing. He stayed at the same dealership for 15 years, until the economy tanked and people stopped buying cars. Clark had a decision to make – stay in a job that made him miserable or try for something new.

And so, he jumped. He absolutely loves history, and he enjoys kids. He enrolled in a teaching certification program, did some student teaching, held a long term sub position, and is now looking really hard for his first social studies teaching job at age 41. Has it been easy? Heck, no. Is God’s call in your life ever easy?

Think about your career. What have you done that fulfills your gifts and talents?  Maybe you’ve had a few jobs that aren’t fulfilling at all. What is the opposite of what you’ve known? Sometimes God calls us to something new. What might that look like for you?

God’s blessings and peace in your journey.
